The Scottish dimension of this 'Information Governance Essentials' training, references Scottish public sector duties, FOISA, PRSA, Cyber Scotland resources and common Scottish regulatory expectations.
By the end of the course, delegates will understand how the key elements of information governance fit together and be able to identify the responsibilities, policies and practical controls needed to manage information effectively within their organisation. This course is an accessible introduction to the key business drivers for information governance and will be particularly useful for people new to information governance, managers with information governance responsibilities and staff who need a working understanding rather than specialist knowledge.
All of our live, instructor-led training programmes are developed specifically for professionals working within Scotland's legal and regulatory framework. Every programme is grounded in relevant Scottish legislation, regulatory guidance, practical case studies and real-world scenarios to ensure delegates can apply their learning immediately. All are delivered with a practical understanding of the balance between risk and available resources.
Attendance at this training is limited to 30 delegates.
Delegates will receive a comprehensive course handbook before the training, providing a useful reference guide to support learning during the course and afterwards.
This course is one of a number of specialist training courses in Scotland’s Information Governance Training Academy, with courses repeated throughout the year.
